Passive Solar House in Our Neighborhood

Beautiful house, well-designed, super insulation. We visited on a bitter cold and windy day, and could feel no air leaking in- the house has a great feel. Lots of light, layout is very sharp and perfect for our needs. Large basement and garage, plus extra power to house perfect for tool shop and projects. House is in excellent shape. Designed by current owner working with architect. House is oriented toward true south for passive solar gain, with brick on the south windows to catch and store winter solar heat. A burm on the North shelters house from winds. House is very well positioned, very private, cannot be seen from the road, but still close by. Far and away our top choice. Three minute bike ride to the farm. Check out videos below. The house has a great feel, and perfectly in line with our values and own design preferences. The passive solar aspect of the house makes it completely unique in comparison with rest of area, where houses are built without concern for directions, orientation. The house is also designed to keep cool in the summer. Most of my pics are of the outside, to compliment pics that are already on-line.
